Guest post: Trump the unpresidential (Reader comment from NY Times)

It’s almost sacrilegious to see Mr. Obama’s name mentioned in the same column as the president. One was a smart, sensible and compassionate human being, and the other is a bad joke that the deplorables played on us. He can’t even read a teleprompter without looking like a demented deer in the headlights. With all of his snorting and sniffing, I wonder if his days are so numbered that his nose is running for office. There is no weirdest moment anymore. It’s all weird, all the time. When most people realize they’re out of their depth, they stop talking. But the president of the United States doubles down on his rants, fueled by his own ignorance, whose octane level is in the triple digits. He’s willing to hurt millions of workers for an ego-driven stunt. But what would we expect from a man who encouraged his followers to beat up Democrats who dared to protest his stupidity? The only wall I’m interested in these days is the one Robert Mueller is building, brick by brick. He’s meticulously putting all of the pieces in place, squeezing this miscreant, backing another into a corner, cutting deals and sealing the cracks so that there will be no escape.
