The day after the Islamic State in Iraq and al Sham (ISIS) released a video showing the brutal beheading of American journalist Steven Sotloff, the second American journalist ISIS was decapitated on video, Secretary of State John Kerry gave a speech stating that Islam is a “peaceful religion based on the dignity of all human beings,” and that ISIS is not “the real face of Islam.”
What utter nonsense! What is “peaceful” about Islam? Has John Kerry never read the Koran? The actions he is referring to, along with numerous barbaric terror acts committed in the name of Islam, are directly in line with the word of the Koran and in the spirit of Islam! Not “radical” Islam! Islam itself IS radical!
It is about time we get real and honest and call a spade a spade, or Islam the worst hoax perpetrated on the human race. The only “peace” that can be achieved in the spirit of Islam, is when all of us so-called “infidels” are wiped out. That includes not only Atheists, but everyone harboring a religion not accepted by the islamists. However, the remaining islamists will in all likelihood keep on slaughtering each other for the slightest, insignificant difference of opinion on the made-up origin of that religion.
About time we distinguish between Islamists who follow the letter and spirit of The Koran, and everyday Muslims who live peaceful lives without a threat to others. They don’t follow The Koran any more than most Christians follow the Bible, fortunately. What all religions have in common, is that they are made up. The difference is that Christianity is ashamed of its bloody past, while Islam advocates an even bloodier future.
As I listened to Secretary of State John Kerry this morning spout the Obama Administration’s glut of wishful thinking regarding the Middle East, I was reminded of this Sept 6 blog post, “Kerry Gravely Mistaken…”.
What brought this post to mind was Kerry’s statement today that “ISIS is making a mockery of a peaceful religion”. That made me also recall the Hesitant President stating on Sept. 10 that “ISIL is not Islamic. No religion condones the killing of innocents”.
I must admit though, it was exciting to see our President pretend to show military resolve, stepping right up BEHIND the sweeping change of public sentiment regarding Middle East involvement by America.
This whole stream of wishful thinking regarding a “coalition of the willing”, and the promise (either another Obama lie for political purpose, or a reflection that he doesn’t really care about military success) that there will be no American “boots on the ground” is obviously only a ploy trying to help Democrats in the Nov election.
If there was REAL intent to contain OR degrade OR destroy (pick one) the enemy, the last thing a responsible Commander In Chief would do is announce what military force he is willing (or not) to use.
Regarding the coalition of the willing: on or around Sept. 15 Prime Minister Cameron of Great Britain echoed Obama, announcing “These are not Muslims, they are Monsters”, but then he confirmed that Britain ( our only ally with significant military muscle) will not participate with airstrikes.
So what is left to join Obama’s coalition? The Lilliputian military of the majority of nations who for decades have been defense freeloaders riding on the back of the US military and taxpayers ( Jordan, Albania, Bahrain, Greece, Norway, Saudi Arabia, Italy, etc., etc.).
US military help to Norway, – of all countries??? That defies all common sense and logic, not to mention facts. In Table 1299 – US Foreign Economic and Military Aid by Major Recipient Country, Norway isn’t even listed, although countries receiving just a few millions, are. And why would Norway even need any foreign help, one of the wealthiest countries in the world, with a very healthy trade balance and balanced budget, contrary to the state of the US economy? The fact is, that Norway actually manufacturers a lot of weaponry and ammuninition for the US military, while US itself manufacturs a substantial amount of sophisticated weaponry on license owned by Norway or Norwegian companies. Norway is also a member of NATO and has been on the side of the US in the Mid-East conflicts, contributing both military expertice, special forces, and weaponry.
