Ego-boosting body guards

No surprise that Republican presidential hopeless Donald Trump asks for ego-boosting Secret Service protection while trumping around.
But that equally hopeless Republican candidate Ben Carson does so, is rather surprising. Doesn’t a true believer like him trust God’s ability to protect his very own spokesman, or does he simply have doubts about God’s willingness, or even interest, in doing so?
Or, heaven forbid, that his God talk is just old fashion election ploy?
