OK, – so the employment figures and unemployment rates may not be as rosy as initially published.
However, how sick and unpatriotic do Republicans have to be to cheer for slower economic improvement than necessary to get us out of the dump left by “their” Supreme Court selected man in the White House?
Letting blind hatred for our duly elected President Obama trump the nation’s economic health exposes a mindset so un-American and destructive that it boggles my mind. Then again, that is directly in line with the consistent Republican efforts to prevent new jobs from being created, fighting even badly needed governmental projects, like improving the infra structure of bridges and roads.

Indeed, let’s hope that “the gullible voting public” you refer to, will wake up to reality and understand that keeping Republican majority in Congress will only delay recovery and make things even worse. And another Republican president, heaven forbid, whether duly elected, selected by the courts, or lured into the WH through voter suppression and other trickery, would just push us further behind more progressive, enlightened nations, with both predictable and unforeseeable consequences.

Mark Twain said “Figures don’t lie, but liars can figure.”.
Per numbers (figures) in today’s WSJ, here are the figures the Progressive liars are using to promote the great economic progress under Obama’s leadership.
I can’t vouch for the accuracy of the figures, but the orders of magnitude regarding them are probably in the ballpark.
In June 2014, 288,000 jobs added.
The arithmetic is as follows:
799,000 part time jobs added
12,000 full time jobs added
523,000 full time jobs lost
Net gain 288,000
Whoopee !! Progressive BALONEY triumphs.
IMAGINE what the gullible voting public might think if they understood what is really happening.

My point is that much of the accomplishment cited in the above article is wishful Progressive BALONEY.

IMAGINE: How much imagination does it take to believe that the Dept. of Labor’s unemployment number of 6.1% has anything to do with the real rate of unemployment? The statistic disregards those who have given up looking for work. And thanks to gov’t policies, for an incredibly large number of people, those policies make living on the dole more attractive than working. Percentage of working age people who are not in the labor force is at a decades high high.
A major contributing factor to this is gov’t policies ( eg Obamacare) that are contributing to a huge part of the jobs created being less than full time. Jobs held mostly by lower paid workers carrying a load of this IMAGINED prosperity on their backs, along with the conservatively investing seniors being fleeced.

So, – that’s why Republican congress is sabotaging Obama’s presidency, – instead of doing the job they were elected to do? I fail to understand the logic, or the connection, but let the comment above stand as an example of the thinking so often experienced from the “other” side.

While the lying government declares that inflation is less than 2% (Ha), they are being robbed by government caused interest rates below 1/2% on their prudent Conservative investments.
