Pray-pray-pray!

That’s Donald Trump’s advice for victims of the horrible rainstorm in Texas.

Does Trump really believe that there is a “God” sitting up there somewhere, able to snap fingers and start and stop rainfalls, and whatever else? If so, he/she/it would also probably have been the one who started it, or not? And now this imaginary creature is just waiting for someone, or enough people, to pray hard enough for him/her/it to find it sufficient to snap fingers or use a magic wand to stop it? How realistic is such a scenario?

So, what could that possibly mean, – or do, for that matter? Doesn’t Trump even understand that praying in certain situations, instead of doing what is necessary considering the circumstances, can be deadly? Where would 9/11 hijacked UA flight #93 have ended if all passengers had prayed, instead of the few who took constructive action and made the plane crash into an unpopulated area?  It could have crashed and destroyed the White House, Capitol, or perhaps even crashed in the middle of NY city.

Praying accomplishes nothing. Only action does!
