What’s the matter with religion? Instead of the claim of moral guidance, which normal people don’t need, it seems that religion has become a cover-up for the most heinous, despicable crimes.
Why do people still support such an anachronism, a wave of superstition that has held back science and education and contaminated politics, especially in this country. People still give money to the churches and flock to their “services”, while waving a bible is enough for evangelicals to support the most unqualified liar and cheater for the highest office in the world. And the various sects, of course, are known hotbeds for sexual abuse, where the pastor takes it upon himself to teach young girls “the facts of life”. How convenient!
In the Scandinavian countries, religion is passé, outdated, useless and incompatible with a modern, progressive society. As a result, they have cleaner and more honest politics, greater equality, and overall much happier people, and far less crime.
And, finally, – without religious grip on the US electorate, we wouldn’t have had to suffer through the destructive presidencies of George W. Bush and Donald J. Trump! Just imagine how much better off we would have been with more presidential, capable people in the WH! Just ask the countless victims of unnecessary wars started by “religious” administrations. Isn’t it counter productive and rather silly for a modern society to cling to such childish superstition?
