Republican presidential hopeless, Gov. Scott Walker, has claimed that his relationship with God drives every major decision in his life, including running for president.
Now that he has dropped out, some questions linger. First of all, why would an all-knowing God urge him to run, if he knew he would quit? Or, did Walker lose confidence in his heavenly support, – which God also would have known, of course?
Or, perhaps the divine support was a product of his own wild imagination, – like him having presidential potential at all?
Fooling yourself into exalted expectations, is one thing, but to trick so many into parting with their money, hard-earned or easily inherited, to support someone clearly unqualified? Sounds to me they were walked over.
Perhaps the God-reference worked wonders, – again? In American politics, it is a factor to reckon with. Still.
