THE REPUBLICAN ‘PUP’ MOVEMENT

As promised, after women-hating Republicans denied women abortion, one of the most intimate personal rights for a woman, now they have decided to go after birth control in a serious attempt to Promote Unwanted Pregnancies! Even if you are infested with a religiously inspired hang-up yourself, you have no right to take it out on others, – especially not as a revenge against women!

One has to wonder, though, will coitus interruptus be the next to be outlawed? And how would they try to enforce it? Peeking through windows? Just wondering ..

Why on earth shouldn’t birth control be freely available, and each individual free to decide whether to use such, or not? What’s the point? To prevent people from having sex? Doesn’t work, – sex is a natural function, so why deny it, – regardless how uptight you may be yourself, and independent of how much you may have been rejected by girls and women in your lonely, sorry past!

People are going to have sex, whether those against it, like it, or not. Our parents had sex, even our grandparents, – believe it or not. And young people will have sex, whether birth control is available, or heaven forbid, not!

On a more personal note, if my own parents hadn’t practiced birth control, I would have been 5 years older, and an entirely different person, and not necessarily a better one, while my happy life would have been entirely different! My wife and I didn’t have children until we were ready, in a stable relationship, with a nice home in a safe, child friendly neighborhood, and with a deep wish to expand our family, – but only once we were ready!

And what would happen to humanity without sex? We would simply die out! Simple as that.

Hadley Heath Manning reported in the NY Times last year, “Most Republican voters — 84 percent of them, according to a 2022 poll on behalf of the organization where I work (NY Times) — support safe and accessible birth control.”
