Why in the world would you think that I would have any more positive feelings about Islam than any of the other thousands of religions cooked up by man through the ages? That makes no sense at all!
Look at Chapter 33- ISLAM, TERRORISM AND 9/11 – ignoring history and facts, found under EXCERPTS from my e-book Dear Editor, on top of my Blog.

The childish, made-up Bible stories don’t explain anything, while science has been able to explain more and more about the universe. Religion used to have monopoly on the explaining business, – fortunately, those days are over in the more progressive and better educated countries.

I don’t pass judgement on religion practiced more or less in private by individuals, for whatever reason. However, when used to score cheap points, like the clown Trump has been doing, I have nothing but contempt for it!

I’m sorry… you wrote Qanan. Did you mean Quran? I’ve read plenty of your anti-religious effusions but I have never seen a piece critical of Islam. Why is that?

“Made-up stories”… OK, can you cite any scientist who can explain the origin of the universe? Can that scientist tell us how all this stuff in the cosmos came to be? Not what he or she thinks may have happened but an explanation grounded in scientific principles.

Has the “religious grip” mentioned in your retort ensnared leading Democrats as well as George Bush and Donald Trump? Speaker Pelosi will often remind us about her Catholic upbringing, and she has quoted Jesus of Nazareth while acting in an official capacity. Our current President is quick to remind us that he is a staunch Catholic. So, are the people laughing at the United States for its “religious hang-ups” also laughing at the Speaker and the President?

So, Ray, among Trump’s thousands of lies, where did he express anything believable about abortion, – or at least enough to sway the most gullible?
And, for the record, Ray, – I’m not only critical of Christianity, but all kinds of religions, Qanan very much included. Especially in this country, so infested with superstition and belief in impossible, made-up stories, we’re held back from our tremendous potential and the model we could have been for the world, instead of being laughed at for our religious hang-ups. Without such a religious grip on the voters, we would never have ended up with inept WH occupants like Bush jr. and Trump.

Your latest blog post attacks one of your favorite targets… Christianity.

But at the heart of your blog post, a central question emerges. Why would evangelicals support a politician with such a checkered past? I am curious. Have you ever asked an evangelical that question? While I cannot speak for any Christians, other than myself, I will suggest one answer. Donald Trump is the first president to openly oppose abortion.

The sanctity of life is more important to them than the reputation of a politician. Would you support an unsavory candidate if doing so might save unborn children? Answering that question in the affirmative might be just enough for many, many evangelicals.
