Donald Trump now wants to investigate the voter fraud he claims made him lose the popular vote, while all previous studies have shown insignificant number of fraudulent votes cast, with no impact on the final results. With heavy fines and the risk of being deported, who would be dumb enough to cast an illegal vote? If that dumb, it is far more likely the illegal vote would be cast in favor of Trump!
A much more important issue is Republican initiated voter suppression, which makes it harder for voters to
exercise their constitutional rights. Here, a thorough, in-depth, independent and non-partisan investigation is called for, with results publicized no matter which way they go. How many were prevented from voting, and who would they have voted for if they had been able to cast their vote?
Do such unsuccessful voters have a claim against their state for being denied their constitutional rights to cast a vote unobstructed, and without unnecessary hardship? Any reprisals due for those who set up such barriers?
I am confident that the results of such an investigation will please the majority of voters, – and expose just another of Trump’s numerous lies!
